Georgia DOT maintenance partners will begin replacing concrete slabs along State Route 316 between State Route 120 and Collins Hill Road at 9 p.m. on Friday, June 7 in Lawrenceville. In order to complete these replacements quickly, a continuous single lane closure will be in effect from Fridays at 9 p.m. until Mondays at 5 a.m. each weekend June 7 to July 14.
Additional nightly closures may occur 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Mondays through Thursdays. No work will be scheduled July 4 through July 7.
This work is associated with a maintenance contract awarded to Pittman Construction to replace portions of concrete with a goal of making S.R. 316 safer for the traveling public.
As always, drivers are reminded to slow down and drive alert through the work zone.
