Douglas County hosts CERT training

Registration is underway for Douglas County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training.

CERT is a free program designed to educate citizens about how to prepare for emergencies that might impact Douglas County.

The CERT course is taught by a team of first responders who have the knowledge and skills to instruct the participants.

Sessions are two and a half hours long on one evening a week over an eight-week period.

Classes will be held on Thursdays and will begin at 6 p.m. Aug. 1.
