Enrique Bascuñana was recently named as the new community development director for the city of Doraville. He brings to the post over 17 years of project experience with the city of Atlanta including zoning, urban design, development review/permitting, land use/redevelopment and community outreach. Bascuñana earned his planning certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners in 2002.

The Community Development Department is responsible for working with the citizens of Doraville, the development community, boards and commissions and elected officials while managing current planning, long-range planning, zoning, land development, storm water management, arboriculture, building construction, and sign permitting.
