The city of Doraville announced that it’s new leaf vacuum truck is temporarily out of service, but a new part needed for repairs is on the way.

“Once the truck is fixed, we will run the entire city to ensure all leaves have been picked up,” says Rip Robertson, Doraville Parks & Recreation Director. “We apologize for any inconvenience.”

Residents are reminded to rake leaves to the curbside, but not into the street or on the sidewalk. Only Non-contained leaves will be picked up. The material picked up must be free of all solid objects, i.e. sticks, bricks, wood, rocks, concrete, etc. These items will damage the truck and the property owner can be held liable for the damage.
