Graves Road in northern Fayette County is closed to all through traffic to facilitate repairs after extensive rain caused a 60-inch metal culvert to wash out in 2015. The segment, between Veterans Parkway on the west and Gingercake Road on the east, connects with Eastin Road and was temporarily repaired last August. The detour route goes along Veterans Parkway on one side north to Lee’s Mill Road and back down along SR 92. Detour signs are in place and a map of the temporary route is posted at www.fayettecounty-ga.gov. Utility work is underway and culvert replacement is scheduled to be completed by June, weather permitting. The project is estimated to cost just under $400,000 and is funded by the 2017 SPLOST.
