The DeKalb County Board of Commissioners recently agreed to renew its contract with a firm that works to find volunteers to help with county parks.
Park Pride Atlanta has helped DeKalb create 35 “friends of” park groups in two years. The $68,500 contract that runs through 2013 is designed to help create additional groups and support those already started with clean-up days and area fundraisers.
