DeKalb solicitor wins award for charity work

DeKalb County Solicitor Sherry Boston recently was honored for her work to collect food for the hungry.

Boston helped collect the equivalent of 55,824 pounds of food during a recent food drive, the most out of any legal organization in Georgia. The total is just shy of the 58,000 pounds of food that the Atlanta Community Food Bank distributes in the region every week.
