DeKalb recognized for environmental practices

DeKalb County is among seven local governments recently recognized by the Atlanta Regional Commission for its environmental policies.

The county again achieved Bronze level as a Green Community in part by focusing on capturing methane gas from its landfill to produce power and also requiring older homes to install low-flow plumbing fixtures.
