People who live near DeKalb-Peachtree Airport or those who drive past it will see an increase in traffic and noise starting the day after Christmas.

The airport, the second busiest in Georgia behind Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport, is preparing for an increase in operations Dec. 26-29. The uptick is due to the NCAA Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl game scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, according to a press release.

It will be the 52nd edition of the Peach Bowl, and will be one of the 2019–20 bowl games concluding the 2019 FBS football season. The Peach Bowl will be one of two College Football Playoff semifinal games, with the winner advancing to the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship.

This year the LSU Tigers with a record of 13-0 will go against the Oklahoma Sooners with a 12–1 record.
