DeKalb County recently opened its first linear park in the central part of the county.
DeLano-Line Park was created in partnership with the county Housing Authority, which donated five acres of land to expand the park, and the White Oak Hills Neighborhood Association, which helped pay for playground equipment at the facility at Memorial and Delano drives.
DeKalb spent $65,000 from its 2001 bond fund to add a pavilion, sidewalks and trails to the land.
