Are you a DeKalb County resident looking to get rid on an old couch or large appliance? If so, you’re in luck.

The county’s sanitation division is offering free residential bulky item curbside collection on certain days throughout the month of June. Bulky items include things like furniture and appliances.

The schedule depends on when your trash and recycling is normally picked up:

  • If your regular collection day is Monday, free bulky item pickup is Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8.
  • If your regular collection day is Tuesday, free bulky item pickup is Friday, June 14 and Saturday, June 15.
  • If your regular collection day is Wednesday, free bulky item pickup is Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22.
  • If your regular collection day is Thursday, free bulky item pickup is Friday, June 28 and Saturday, June 29.

Items should be placed on the curb no later than 7 a.m. on the Friday of your pickup weekend.

If your bulky item happens to get missed, call 404-294-2900.
