DeKalb NAACP to celebrate Jubilee Day

The DeKalb County branch of the NAACP will celebrate the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation on Jan. 1 with its annual Jubilee Day.

The event begins at 10:30 a.m. at Rainbow Park Baptist Church, 2941 Columbia Dr., near Decatur. Attorney Derrick Alexander Pope is the featured speaker.
