Looking for a free event to get the kids out of the house Saturday in DeKalb County?
The “Touch a Truck 2017” event could help. It’s from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the East Lake MARTA Station on the corner of Paden Circle and DeKalb Avenue.
“Children of all ages are invited to touch, explore and see their favorite truck or equipment on wheels,” the city of Decatur’s event announcement said.
Vehicles from the city of Decatur and DeKalb County will be on display.
Also at the event:
- Decatur cops will register your bike (if you ride it there) to help in case it's ever stolen.
- You can bring a canned or non-perishable food item in celebration of National Nutrition Month. Decatur Active Living and Decatur Firefighters will be collecting food to feed the hungry.
- The kids can learn school bus safety.
