DeKalb County Commissioner Kathie Gannon and CEO are hosting a community gardening workshop next weekend near Decatur.

The session will include training on how to get permits for such gardens and basic vegetable gardening. There also will be demonstrations on seeding and building raised beds.

The free event runs from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 31 at Georgia Perimeter College’s Decatur campus, 3251 Panthersville Road. Lunch will be provided.
