The DeKalb History Center will host lecture later this month on the small homes that rose up around the county and region between the 1920s and 1950s.

The focus on design will be part of the center’s Lunch and Learn series, a brown-bag series is held at noon at the Old Courthouse on the Square.

Richard Cloues, who retired from the state’s Historic Preservation Office, will lead the session Jan. 21.
