DeKalb County Fire Rescue will celebrate International Walk to School Day on Wednesday, Oct. 10, according to a press release. The partnership event with Safe Kids DeKalb encourages pedestrian safety. Employees from Fire Rescue and Safe Kids DeKalb will join Georgia Commutes and Safe Routes to School to walk children to school.

Following the event, coalition members will engage school volunteers, concerned parents, and others to convene a school pedestrian safety committee that continues to offer pedestrian safety education and improving pedestrian conditions near schools.
