DeKalb County will close Burton Drive NE, from Biltmore Drive NE to Stephens Drive NE to through-traffic 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 4 to remove a dead oak tree at 1058 Burton Drive NE. Road closure and detour signs will be placed in the area to advise motorists of construction work and traffic restrictions.

Although Tropical Storm Irma brought hundreds of trees down in DeKalb, and the county continues to receive reports of newly fallen trees. Storm-damaged and unhealthy trees pose a risk of falling. Always use caution when examining potential storm-damaged trees.
