Chamblee police are celebrating an officer who reportedly caught a would-be car thief “in the act.”
Early Wednesday morning, Sgt. Guy Antinozzi went to 2551 Pilgrim Way in response to a call about a car break-in, police said on Facebook.
“As Sgt. Antinozzi approached the incident location, he observed the suspect and confronted him,” the post said. “A short struggle ensued and the suspect was arrested.”

Police quoted a witness saying, “the man was in the car trying to steal it!”
The suspect, Justin Farmer, 26, of Covington was booked in the county jail on charges of entering auto and obstruction.
