DeKalb class teaches how to be bee-friendly

DeKalb County Cooperative Extension will host a “Space for Pollinators” series in different areas around the county.

According to a press release, attendees will learn how to make their garden a haven for native pollinators and make their own native bee hotel.

The first class will be 6 to 7:30 p.m. on July 18 in the Briarwood Park Community Center Dance Room at 2235 Briarwood Way NE, Atlanta. The deadline to register is July 8.

A second class will be held 6 to 7:30 p.m Aug. 1 at the Brook Run Park greenhouse complex, 4770 N. Peachtree Rd., Dunwoody. The deadline to register is July 26.

The final class of the series will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. Aug. 15 at the UGA Extension Auditorium, 4380 Memorial Dr., Ste. 200, Decatur. The deadline to register is Aug. 9.

The class registration is $25.
