To combat the economic issues caused by COVID-19, Ray of Hope Christian Church will distribute free food to the community10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 27, according to a press release.

The food will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis at the Chapel building on the Ray of Hope campus, 2778 Snapfinger Road, Decatur. The event is a part of the church’s outreach ministry. Participants will be able to drive up and remain in their vehicles to receive the food from Ray of Hope volunteers who will be donned with the appropriate personal protective equipment to ensure the safety of the public.

Ray of Hope Christian Church was founded by Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Hale, in 1986, with four people meeting for bible study. The church has a membership of over 5,000 and celebrates 34 years of impacting and transforming the kingdom of God. The church is located in Decatur.
