DeKalb approves vacant home registry

DeKalb County Commissioners recently agreed to set up a vacant home registry to keep track of empty properties in the county.

Owners must pay $100 or face a $1,000 fine for homes that are empty for more than six months. DeKalb plans to use the list to ensure properties are being maintained.
