More than six months later, Decatur police have issued a warrant for the arrest of a man accused of tying up and robbing employees at the downtown restaurant, The Pinewood.

Carlous Bailey, 20, briefly worked at the West Ponce de Leon Avenue establishment, known for its whiskey selection and cocktails. Police haven't revealed if they have another suspect; witnesses said there were two robbers.

It started when a man approached a female employee outside after closing on May 25, according to a police account. He pointed a handgun at her, forced her to her knees.

Five employees were still there, including the woman outside. The gunmen, wearing black masks, put them on the floor and tied them up with zip ties.

The robbers demanded personal belongings and questioned them about where the restaurant’s money was kept.

The men took personal belongings from the workers and fled.

Police say Bailey is considered “armed and dangerous.”
