Deadline approaching to purchase Grayson Veterans Memorial bricks

Boy Scout Kevin Brooks’ Eagle Scout project to bring a Veterans Memorial to Grayson Park is being enhanced by adding commemorative bricks. For $50, Grayson residents and visitors may honor a favorite veteran with a laser engraved commemorative brick to be installed at scheduled times throughout the year. Orders are currently being taken until March 1 for installation by Grayson Day at the end of April.

Bricks are 4-inches by 8-inches and can be engraved with up to three lines of type of 20 characters each.

With the purchase of a commemorative brick, residents may also purchase a 4-inch by 8-inch keepsake brick for home for $40 or a “mini brick” which is 1-and-a-half inch by 3-inch with the same inscription for $15.
