Crooked Creek Road in Watkinsville closed next 45 days

As part of the widening and reconstruction of Mars Hill Road in Oconee County, Crooked Creek Road will close Friday to traffic for the next 45 days. Traffic will be detoured through Carriage Hill Road to Hodges Mill Road, then to Mars Hill Road. This closure and detour will allow the contractor to complete construction on Crooked Creek Road.

Currently the project is 62 percent finished, with a scheduled completion date of May 2018. The project was awarded to G.P.’s Enterprises Inc. of Auburn, Georgia in July 2014.
