Officials are searching for a boater who fell into a lake in Paulding County.
The missing man was identified as Alberto Palacios, 24, of Douglasville, Channel 2 Action News reported.
About 6:30 p.m. Monday, the incident was reported at Sweetwater Creek State Park, Maj. Stephen Adams of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources said. Two men were in a non-motorized paddleboat, and one fell overboard and did not resurface.
Paulding County officials are involved in the search. The DNR used sonar equipment as well as aviation in the search, which will continue as long as necessary, DNR spokesman Mark McKinnon said Tuesday.
