A Coweta County man is facing multiple charges after allegedly trying at least three times to run down his girlfriend, authorities say.
Suspect Greg Sims was arrested Monday night after he crashed his truck into a convenience store while trying to run the woman down, Lt. Col. Jimmy Yarbrough of the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.
Yarbrough said Sims chased the woman to several locations, trying at least three times to run her down.
Sims’ truck struck the woman’s vehicle, Yarbrough said.
At the convenience store, Sims’ pickup truck hit several parked cars and the convenience store before catching on fire, he said.
Sims is charged with terroristic threats, aggravated assault with a motor vehicle, drunken driving and criminal damage to property, according to the sheriff’s office.
