The federal appeals court in Atlanta has upheld the conviction and 320-month prison sentence against a former emergency room physician who produced child pornography and tried to coerce a minor to engage in unlawful sex acts.

Adam Wayne Lebowitz, who worked at Grady Memorial Hospital as an Emory University medical resident, was drawn into an undercover sting by a 15-year-old boy working with Coweta County authorities. In upholding Lebowitz's sentence, the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals noted he failed to disclose his HIV-positive condition to his victims.
