The new plan eliminates both a five-story, 262-unit apartment building and (at least initially) the closing of Barton Way. Because of the plan’s radical alteration, DeKalb County’s District 2 Community Council deferred any recommendation of rezoning the current property, which includes the Scott Boulevard Baptist Church (down to 75 members) until it can be reviewed by the county’s planning commission on September 10.
