Cobb County police have arrested a woman accused of trying to rob a bank by passing a note indicating she had a bomb.

Officers were dispatched around 2:39 p.m. Wednesday to Wells Fargo at 1547 Powers Ferry Road in Marietta and met with employees who recounted the incident.

Bank employees said the woman gave the teller a “demand note” that said she had a bomb and asked for money, according to Cobb police. The woman fled the bank, but police tracked down her vehicle and made a traffic stop near Delk Road and Bentley Way, Cobb police said.

Sandra Yvonne Daniel, 66, of Atlanta, was taken into custody and charged with robbery by intimidation.

Cobb police say the investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call 770-499-3945.
