DeKalb County police on Wednesday released photos of a "person of interest" being sought after a woman was reportedly strangled to death.

Ashley Mays, 20, whose identity eluded authorities for days, was found last Friday morning at the Quality Inn & Suites at 5300 Snapfinger Park Drive. She was a Lithonia resident.

After the death was determined to be from strangulation, homicide detectives released images of the man, shown in surveillance camera photos, as well as a vehicle.
