Gwinnett County police are trying to identify a man who was found raping an unconscious woman in her Peachtree Corners bedroom.
The victim’s sister walked into the victm’s bedroom on the morning of Sept. 22 and discovered a man sexually assaulting the victim, police said. The sister began to fight the suspect, trying to get him away from her sister. The suspect smashed a second-story window and jumped out of the apartment, according to police.

The victim was unconscious due to alcohol consumption and did not wake up during the assault or the altercation between the suspect and her sister; she had to be woken up when police arrived, said Cpl. Michele Pihera, a police spokeswoman. The victim did not need medical attention in connection with her alcohol consumption, Pihera said.
The residents of the apartment were having a “small party” the night before the rape, but the suspect was not invited and nobody had ever seen him before, police said.
The police department is looking to the public to help identify the suspect.
