Cops: Missing autistic man found in jail

A 31-year-old Cobb County man with autism who was missing Thursday was later found in jail, police said.

Simon Blyden was located in the Douglas County Jail, Cobb police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said. No other information was immediately available.

Blyden, who also is mentally challenged and mute, wandered away from his Factory Shoals Road home Thursday morning, police said. He was last seen in the area at 11 a.m.
