Cops looking for 2 men who allegedly broke into 15 cars in Brookhaven

Police released surveillance images of the people who allegedly broke into more than a dozen cars.

Police in Brookhaven are looking for two people who allegedly broke into more than a dozen cars over the course of Thursday evening.

The two men stole items from 15 vehicles in the Ashford Park neighborhood, which is located between Peachtree and Clairmont roads, Brookhaven police said in a statement. One of the cars contained a gun.

They were also able to steal one of the cars, a 2018 Land Rover Discovery Sport, to use as a getaway car, police said. It was later found by Atlanta police.

The alleged thieves are believed to be between 18 and 24 years old. Police said they were later seen on surveillance video. One of the men was wearing a long sleeve green camouflage shirt and black pants.

The other was wearing a grey Chicago Bulls hoodie and black pants.

Anyone with information about the case or their identities is asked to contact Brookhaven police. Tips can be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta, and anyone providing information may be eligible for a reward.
