Gwinnett County police are searching for a man who allegedly raped a woman at knifepoint and struck her car with his own vehicle when she tried to escape.
Eugenio German, 40, is wanted on charges of aggravated assault by strangulation, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, rape, false imprisonment and battery.
German knew the victim before the alleged attack, according to police. The police department said it is “very important” to find German because “there is a chance he may try to find the victim and commit more violence upon her.”
Officers were called to the victim’s Duluth home around 10 a.m. Sunday. The victim told police that German choked her and raped her at knifepoint. The woman escaped her home and got in the car, but German followed her in his vehicle and purposefully rammed into her before leaving the apartment complex, according to police.
German and the victim live in separate homes. German lives in Lilburn, according to police.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Gwinnett County detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Crime Stoppers tips may be rewarded with up to $2,000 if they lead to an arrest or indictment.
