A man walks into a cop with cocaine on his nose.

That's not a setup for a joke – Dunwoody police say it actually happened to an officer last weekend.

Around 4 a.m. Sunday morning, Dunwoody police officers were on foot patrol on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard checking one of the businesses, the department wrote on Facebook.

By sheer chance, officers walked smack into a man standing outside the business who was “in the process of snorting what appeared to be cocaine.”

When he saw the officers – according to the post – the man handed them the powdered substance. “This isn’t mine,” he reportedly said with white powder still on his nose.

Officers field tested the powder and, sure enough, it was cocaine, they said. The man, Victorino Hernandez-Escalante, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine.

“This just happens to be another one of those situations that you JUST CAN’T MAKE UP,” Dunwoody police said in the Facebook post.
