Construction crews will continue work overnight this week at the Jimmy Carter bridge over Interstate 85. Crews will be working on bridge fencing, removing the bridge overhang and painting beams.
Drivers can expect single lane closures between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. through Friday eastbound and westbound on Jimmy Carter Boulevard between Goshen Springs Road and McDonough Drive.
Similar single lane closures will take place between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. along the inside lanes of I-85 between Indian Trail/Lilburn Road, Exit 101 and Pleasantdale Road, Exit 96. After 11 p.m. each night, as many as three lanes may be closed in this same area of the interstate.
