Classes are on hiatus during spring break this week, but a variety of construction projects at Fayette County schools have either been completed or are progressing steadily.
Mike Satterfield, facilities director for the school system, told the Board of Education in late March that the new gyms at North Fayette and Peachtree City elementary schools “turned out real well,” and the new media center and classrooms at Peachtree City are in progress.
The turf sports fields at McIntosh and Whitewater high schools are finished; turf installation at Starr’s Mill and Fayette County high schools is scheduled for summer after graduation ceremonies are complete.
