Starting Monday and continuing through Dec. 3, construction will close Puckett Creek Road to through traffic at Reinhardt College Parkway (Ga. 140) near Canton, according to a Cherokee County announcement.
The Cherokee County Roadway Capital Program said the closure is for the reconstruction of Puckett Creek, part of the intersection improvement project involving the crossroads of Reinhardt College, Puckett Creek and Lower Burris Road. A detour will be posted for the duration of the project, officials said.
The recommended detour for westbound motorists is to continue on Ga. 140 to Sam Nelson Road, then take Sam Nelson south back to Puckett Creek. Eastbound drivers should follow the same route in reverse.
