The Green Mountain State’s extensive network of lightly-trafficked small highways and town roads provide an ample supply of bicycle routes and tours. For the more adventurous, Vermont’s gravel roads and old logging trails can’t be beat, and travel experts say Vermont has some of the best mountain biking in the east. Tourists can choose from single track or downhill, trek through forests and meadows, or explore an abandoned granite quarry.
