A request for rezoning from R-2 (single-family residential) to C-2 (general commercial) for 1.12 acres on Jodeco Road was approved Nov. 27 by the Henry County Board of Commissioners.

The site is near the northwest corner of the intersection of Tunis Road and Jodeco Road, and the request by Carole Galimore of Fayetteville “is for general commercial to conform to surrounding properties and the future land use map,” according to a staff report. There is no proposed development on the site at this time, and the rezoning will put the property in line with the surrounding area so it can be sold. The Zoning Advisory Board recommended approval Sept. 27 with no conditions.

The commissioners’ vote to approve the request was unanimous.
