The city of College Park swore in its new mayor, Bianca Motley Broom, and two council members: Ambrose Clay, Ward I, and Ken Allen, Ward III, on Monday at the College Park Auditorium.

Motley Broom was elected mayor of the city on Dec. 3, following a runoff with incumbent Jack Longino. She has been a resident of College Park since 2008, serving as both a board member and board president of The Main Street Academy, alongside serving on the board for the College Park Neighborhood Association. Motley Broom graduated from Duke University and earned her law degree from Washington University of Law, with an MBA and honors from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. She began her career as an attorney, followed by time as a Fulton County magistrate judge.
