College Park’s Badgett Stadium gets new lighting

As part of the city’s ongoing maintenance and improvements in the Parks and Recreation department Badgett Stadium is getting new lighting.

College Park’s Bill Badgett Stadium is being enhanced, as the general contractor is removing old standard lighting for new digital lighting that is more efficient, and provides brighter coverage for events held at the facility, according to a press release.

Last year the stadium track underwent improvements with resurfacing. The rubber surface (top layer) had been removed, with an additional inspection of the asphalt base.
