Gregory Aloia will take over as president of the College of Coastal Georgia July 1, under action the State Board of Regents took Wednesday.

Aloia, president of Concord University in West Virginia, was one of three finalists for the position.

He replaces Valerie Hepburn, who is stepping down at the end of June. She has been president since 2008.

The Brunswick college enrolls about 3,100 students.
