The Cobb2020 Farm Fresh Market is now open on Saturdays until September at three locations:
- 7:30-9 a.m. at Dwell Apartment Community, 750 Franklin Gateway SE, Marietta.
- 9:30-11 a.m. at Walton Village Apartment Community, 1570 Roberta Drive SW, Marietta.
- Noon-1:30 p.m. at Walton Reserve Apartment Community, 7075 Walton Reserve Lane, Austell.
This mobile farmer’s market is designed to increase access to fresh fruits and vegetables for residents who lack access to a free-standing grocery store. The Farm Fresh Market is an initiative of Cobb2020, a partnership of community organizations and individuals dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles and the delivery of essential health services in Cobb County.
Due to the Cobb County Nonprofit Grant and the Food Well Alliance Grant, the Farm Fresh Market will be able to expand its time frame for this season into September to reach more residents.
Also due to a new partnership with The Common Market, only locally grown fruits and vegetables will be offered.
Last year the market provided more than 13,000 pounds of fresh produce to greater than 1,600 community residents in limited food access areas.
