The Cobb County Board of Education agreed Thursday to pay $5.3 million for repairs at five schools.
All of the projects are expected to be completed by July 22.
The heating, ventilating and air conditioning system will be replaced at Hayes Elementary School for $3.2 million by Bon Building Services of Conyers.
A roof will be replaced at Frey Elementary School for $1.5 million by Tecta America Southeast of Cumming.
Freezer and cooler replacements will total $585,490 at Harrison High School and Nicholson and Rocky Mount Elementary Schools by Shirah Contracting of Mableton.
Separately, an architect was appointed for the rebuild of Osborne High School for $1.4 million.
This amount is five percent of the estimated total construction budget of $28.3 million.
