Cobb Senior Services agency seeks input

Comments are being sought on the future of Cobb County Senior Services. Meetings are scheduled this month for Cobb residents to share their thoughts, ideas and questions:
- 1-3 p.m. Oct. 16 at Freeman Poole Senior Center, 402 South Hurt Road, Smyrna.
- 1-3 p.m. Oct. 17 at West Cobb Senior Center, 4915 Dallas Highway, Powder Springs.
- 1-3 p.m. Oct. 25 at East Cobb Senior Center, 3332 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta.
- 1-3 p.m. Oct. 26 at East Cobb Library, 4880 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta.
Created in 1972, Cobb Senior Services provides an array of services, including the operation of eight senior centers which include three neighborhood centers, four multipurpose centers and the Senior Wellness Center.
The seniors centers provide nutrition, health, counseling and educational programs as well as shopping and recreational trips. Open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, leisure activities, such as music, arts and crafts, games, special events and daily exercising, also are offered.
