Three 2015-16 Teachers of the Year for Cobb Schools were announced Monday by Cobb School District Superintendent Chris Ragsdale.

Ginny Lyon, kindergarten teacher at Chalker Elementary School in Kennesaw, is the elementary level recipient.

Carol Mickus, a seventh grade science teacher at Cooper Middle School in Austell, is the middle level recipient.

U.S. Army First Sgt. Kathryn Burns, who teaches Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) at Campbell High School in Smyrna, is the high school level winner.
