Cobb's superintendent, Michael Hinojosa, surprised three teachers with "Teacher of the Year" awards Friday. Awards were presented to Carolyn Davis, a fifth grade teacher at Riverside Intermediate, Richard Kaht, a science teacher at Dickerson Middle School, and Beth Morgan, a language and humanities teacher at Lassiter High School. The teachers were selected by a committee of administrators and will now compete for the "District Teacher of the Year."
