Dr. Angela M. Huff, chief of staff of the Cobb County School District, has announced her retirement effective on May 31.

After a 32-year career in education, she said she will be caring more for aging family members. In her 24 years with Cobb, Huff has been the chief of staff for four years. Before then, she was an assistant superintendent, assistant principal and a principal at Brumby, Due West and Mountain View Elementary schools.

While principal at Mountain View, Huff was named the Georgia PTA Outstanding Principal of the Year in 2004 and was a contributing author to the book “365 Meditations for Teachers by Teachers.” Information: cobbcast.cobbk12.org.
