A restaurant on the Marietta Square has delivered some devastating news to its customers.

Pressed Panini Bar at 30 South Park Square closed its doors on Saturday after several years of crafting tasty sandwiches to the public. The restaurant, which opened in 2013, said it was grateful for the community support it has received from its fan base.

"However, we do have exciting plans that are currently underway for a new concept, scheduled to open in this location this year," according to its Facebook page.

Pressed Panini said its team members will continue to serve up meals at its sister concepts, Stockyard Burgers & Bones, Taqueria Tsunami and Forno Vero, a new pizza joint set to open in the Marietta Square Market.

“Thank you again for sharing your love of paninis,” the company said Saturday. “We look forward to serving you here, once again, at our brand new concept in the near future. Please stay tuned for details.”
